I grew up in St Andrews – the Home of Golf, so needless to say I know my way around a 7-iron. I remember playing my first round at Wanaka Golf Club and finding it hard to concentrate on my game because of the view – it’s breathtaking!
The old Wanaka Golf Club website had served the club well but was fairly old and tired and didn’t do the course or the scenery justice and it was time for a revamp. The club manager, Kim, had arranged for video “fly-throughs” and detailed maps of each hole to be featured on the website, and these give visitors a great understanding of the challenges the course presents before they arrive to play.
The club had been compiling a collection of photos of the course in each season and so had a great selection to choose from.
One of the really important aspects of this redevelopment was to ensure that the new website was easy to use on mobile devices, as members often want to check course conditions or look up competition information on the go. With this in mind the new layout is fully responsive, meaning it looks great and most importantly is easy to get around whether you’re looking at it on a PC, tablet or smartphone screen.
Duncan from Mistyflip provided a new website for the Wanaka Golf Club Inc. The new site was well designed and easier to navigate around. We were able to make alterations to our website ourselves using the Wordpress function which saves us from having to pay someone to update our ever changing website. Duncan was great and always available to train us on how to use it, plus anything we could not up-date ourselves he could promptly make the change. Duncan is always prompt to respond to any query, is pro-active in recommending new ideas, his charge rates are reasonable and he provides an excellent service. I would recommend Mistyflip to anyone wishing to start a new or change an existing website. Kim
